This no-prep language pack has a little bit of everything you may need for a elementary caseload. Students will love the fun theme and you will love the no-prep! Designed for pk-5th depending on skill level. These worksheets would also make great homework!

Assembly: None! Just print and go! You will need something to color with! Perfect for summer lessons, Pirate Week (in September), or year round!

The pack is similar to my other mega and quick NO-PREP language packs. I do change up the targets and vocabulary in each pack.

 What’s Included:

✖ Treasure Categories: The student is prompted to color items in each of the categories a different color according to the key at the top of the page.

✖ Captain’s Categories: The student will name three items in the given category and color each picture as they name them.

✖ Which One Doesn’t Belong? The student has to find the pictures in the treasure map (out of 4) that doesn’t belong and draw an X over it. The student will color the rest of the pictures and tell how they go together.

✖ Compare/Contrast. The student will name how each pair of objects are the same and different, then color the treasure chest.

✖ Buried Treasure Associations: The student will draw a line between the two items that go-together and then color each pair of objects the same color (map and chest).

✖ Pirate Positions: The student will color the picture that goes with the phrase in each box (a positional vocabulary prompt).

✖ Pirate Pronouns: The student will color the picture according to the pronoun prompt (also good for following directions).

✖ Pirate Stories: The student will read or listen to the pirate themed story and answer the 6 questions (by verbalizing). This activity targets listening comprehension, wh-questions, & recall skills.

✖ Treasure Map Synonym Sort: The student will cut out the words at the bottom of the page and glue them underneath their synonyms.

✖ Color by Opposites: The student will identify the opposite of the word and then color the part of the picture that has the corresponding number.

✖ Pirate Flag Adjectives: The student will write two adjectives about the picture in the flag and then color it.

✖ Pirate Hat Sentences: The student will place a check in the box and color the hat black if the sentence is correct (correct grammar/subject-verb agreement). The student will place an x in the box and color it red if it needs work. The student will correct the sentence and say it aloud.

✖ Treasure Sentences: The student will listen to the sentence and color it according to the key (listening for sentence absurdities). If it is incorrect, they will verbally correct it.

✖ Pirate Listen Up! This activity has two scenes. The first scene is for following one step directions and the second scene is for two step directions. The therapist will read prompts listed on the right side of the paper to the student (s). I added a page with no directions for you to make up your own!

✖ Pirate Word Work: This can be used with any vocabulary lesson. The student will write the new vocabulary word in the box indicated and check if they’ve heard the word or not. They will then write what they think it means. The next box asks them to write the actual meaning (dictionary definition). After that the student will write a sentence with the word in it. There are boxes for them to list a synonym, antonym, and related words. Finally the student will draw a picture about the word! This page came from my Vocabulary Journal activity!

✖ Pirate Story Retell or Recap: There are three options to choose from and the students will write their responses in the boxes. One has them retell the beginning, middle, & end of the story. One has them recap the characters, setting, problem, and solution. The last one has them recap characters, setting, two things that happened, and the moral of the story.

✖ Pirate Listen Up: This activity has 5 scenes. One & Two steps (with two levels: one with color specification and one without) and an open-ended scene (make up your own directions). The therapist will read prompts listed on the right side of the paper to the student (s). The student will color the picture according to the directions.

✖ Pirate Bingo: There are 4 different boards with pirate vocabulary clue cards. The students will listen to the description of the word and color it in if they have it on their board. Whoever gets 4 in a row first, calls out “Bingo!.” You could also play blackout bingo (covering all of the spaces) with everyone winning! I call out all of the cards after there is a winner for continued practice. (Full color version available in the additional file included in this download).

✖ Color-A-Pirate- Roll a die and color the part of the picture listed by that number! Keep rolling until the picture is finished! In a group game, if you roll a number you already colored, your turn is skipped!’

✖ Bonus Drill Sheet: Practice an goal/objective of your choice and color in a gold coin for each trial. Try to fill up the whole page!

✖ BONUS full color pirate bingo game

✖ Google Slides version (limited pages, does not include pages that require coloring).
