Toy Map Story Companion Set for Remi's Ride to the Zoo

This is a toy map companion set for the book Remi’s Ride to the Zoo (see the book here, sold separately).

Your students will LOVE to drive along the map as they find places in the book Remi’s Ride to the Zoo! The map companion adds an extra level on engagement to the book.

This map is a quarter folded map (think folded game board material) that comes with a paper car toy of Remi and her family from the book. The map is 12 inches by 12 inches when unfolded and features all of the places that Remi discovers in the book. The paper toy car has a very small assembly task required . The car does not roll, it is on paper “legs” (see photos/videos). You can use any toy car you own with the map if you prefer a car that rolls (only the cardboard version is included). 

Tips for use: As you read the book, have the student drive the car to each location they find in the story. Use the included paper car or a toy car (not included).

To use without the book: Use as a  driving mat with any mini toy cars. Ask the student questions about all of the places on the mat.

Assembly: Push out the car “legs” and insert them into the slots at the bottom. This will make the car stand up. Unfold the map and use! 

Tip: Store the set in a separate closable plastic bag (not included), keep away from moisture. Store the board folded.

To clean: Use damp cloth to wipe off map carefully. Do not soak or get wet. This product is made from paper.

These sets were designed to go with the books but can be used as a stand alone toy. The pieces match the illustrations in the book.
