Panda Speech Publishing Wins Silver Medal in 2025 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards for “Remi’s Ride to the Zoo”
Amarillo, TX – October 10, 2025 — Panda Speech Publishing is proud to announce that “Remi’s Ride to the Zoo”, a board book written by Amanda Schaumburg, has been awarded the Silver Medal in the 2025 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards in the Interactive Books category.
The Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, established in 2007, honor exemplary children’s books that inspire a love of reading and lifelong learning. Schaumburg’s interactive board book stood out for its engaging design, hands-on learning opportunities, and delightful storytelling that encourages children to participate as they follow along with Remi’s ride to the zoo.
“Winning this award is such an honor,” said author Amanda Schaumburg, a speech-language pathologist and founder of Panda Speech Publishing. “I created Remi’s Ride to the Zoo to spark language development, curiosity, and joy in early readers, especially through interactive play. To see it recognized on an international level is truly special.
Remi’s ride to the Zoo is an interactive lift a flap board book with moveable pieces. Remi wants to go to the zoo today to see the new parrot exhibit! Students will lift the flaps (her car window) to see if they are at the zoo yet! Along the way they will learn about places in the community (park, playground, library, grocery store, hospital, etc.). This book is designed for ages 3- 6 years old and is perfect for early learning and speech therapy.
This marks another milestone for Panda Speech Publishing, which continues to produce educational and engaging books that support children’s communication and literacy growth.
